Perry Ellis

Perry Ellis was a mainstream form fashioner in the 1980s preceding his less than ideal demise in 1986.

Conceived and taught in Virginia, Ellis at first entered the mold world through the retail side. Gaining a graduate degree in retailing from New York College, he came back to Virginia to act as a purchaser and merchandiser, and in the end helped to establish his own retail location. A move back to New York to join a sportswear organization in the long run prompted a chance to plan a womenswear gathering. Despite the fact that Ellis couldn't outline, his involvement with garments and the form business empowered him to make a standout amongst the best sportswear lines of the 1970s, coming full circle with the presentation of his own image in 1978.
