Aromas have been offered by Balmain since the 1940s, with the presentation of Elysées 64-83 (his telephone number) in 1945. 1947's incredible aroma Vent Vert, still underway today, was one of the smash hits of the 1950s. Balmain's Jolie Madame was notable in its portrayal of the new post-war 1950s lady. Revlon obtained the Balmain aroma permit in 1960, and Balmain aromas are created today in conjunction with Domain of Fragrances. The permit for scents will exchange to Entomb Parfums Inc. in 2012.

Pierre Balmain passed away in 1982. Long-term Balmain creator Erik Mortensen drove the house until 1993, when Oscar de la Renta filled in as Imaginative Chief. Olivier Rousteing was named Imaginative Chief in 2011. Balmain designs, both vintage and new, remain a mainstream decision with VIPs today.

Creator Pierre Balmain has 27 aromas in our scent base. Pierre Balmain is an old aroma house. The most punctual version was made in 1946 and the freshest is from 2016. Pierre Balmain aromas were made in a joint effort with perfumers Guillaume Flavigny, Olivier Pescheux, Antoine Maisondieu, Alexandra Jouet, Jean Jacques, Marie-Aude Couture-Bluche, Daniel Hoffmann, Germaine Cellier, Michel Almairac, Jacques Flori, Pierre Balmain, Calice Becker, Emilie (Bevierre) Coppermann and Sonia Steady.
